Kaantha

Madras in the 1950s, not long after independence, and a film set is where the city's ambition gathers. A.P. Kodandaraman (Samuthirakani) is a filmmaker trying to finish the picture that will define him, and he must do it with T.K. Mahadevan (Dulquer Salmaan), the reigning star he once discovered. Selvamani Selvaraj puts a debutante, Kumari (Bhagyashri Borse), between the two men, and each tries to claim her.
