The title is a Gujarati shout, "I have cut," called out when one kite slices another's string on Makar Sankranti. Ish (Sushant Singh Rajput), Govi (Rajkummar Rao) and Omi (Amit Sadh) are three friends at the turn of the millennium who pool what they have to open a training academy for India's next cricket stars. Abhishek Kapoor, adapting Chetan Bhagat's novel, lets the friendship carry the story and keeps the camera at the boys' level.
