“The weapon that would change the world”

In 1941 the young tank commander Kalashnikov (Yura Borisov) is badly wounded in battle and lands in a hospital bed, unable to return to the front. Konstantin Buslov follows the self-taught 29-year-old as he begins sketching the first lines of the rifle that will carry his name. The film puts what a weapon costs its maker beside the pride of having made it.
