“Murder is a matter of perspective”

Carl (Toby Jones) is a middle-aged man who wants a life of his own, but his mother Aileen (Anne Reid) keeps pulling him back into hers. Rupert Jones builds the story around their uneasy bond, with Abby (Sinéad Matthews) and Maureen (Deborah Findlay) moving through the edges of it. The longer Carl stays tied to his mother, the more it threatens to cost him.
