Kamome Diner

“Have a meal and go on a walk.”

Why would anyone open a diner for rice balls on a quiet Helsinki street and then sit through a month without a single customer? Sachie (Satomi Kobayashi) keeps the place clean and keeps waiting, until a first customer comes in and then Midori (Hairi Katagiri), a gangly Japanese tourist whom she invites to stay. Naoko Ogigami builds the film from the small acts of making food and feeding people, which is how strangers here become friends.
