Keep the Lights On

Erik Rothman (Thure Lindhardt), a Danish filmmaker in New York in 1997, is working on a documentary about the artist Avery Willard and wants someone to come home to. After a one-night fling he lands with Paul (Zachary Booth), a closeted lawyer who keeps his own life half hidden. Ira Sachs follows the years that follow, and Erik keeps giving more than he gets back.
