“The bravest battle ever fought.”

In 1897, twenty-one Sikh soldiers hold the Saragarhi Fort on the frontier, and no one can say how so few could stand against an army of ten thousand Afghans. Havildar Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar) leads the small garrison, with Gul Badshah Khan (Ashwath Bhatt) among the men across the line who will not leave the fort standing. Anurag Singh keeps the camera tight on the men inside the walls, so the size of the crowd outside is felt before it is seen.
