Kidnapping Mr. Heineken

“It was the perfect crime until they got away with it.”

In 1983, Freddy Heineken (Anthony Hopkins), grandson of the brewery's founder, vanishes along with his driver, and a ransom of 35 million Dutch guilders is demanded for their return. Daniel Alfredson follows the people behind it, led by Cor Van Hout (Jim Sturgess) and Willem Holleeder (Sam Worthington), friends who have decided that one very rich man is the answer to their money trouble. For Cor, the plan is a way out, and he keeps telling himself it is only a job.
