Kids Return

“We haven't even started.”

Two friends who spend their school days tormenting classmates and pulling pranks leave without a plan for what comes next. Shinji (Masanobu Ando) takes up boxing, and Masaru (Ken Kaneko) falls in with a local yakuza gang. Takeshi Kitano made the film right after his motorcycle wreck, and it ends on Shinji and Masaru, still friends, sitting on bicycles in the school yard.
