Kikujiro

Masao (Yusuke Sekiguchi) is a schoolboy who has never met his mother and is determined to find her. The only adult willing to take him is Kikujiro (Takeshi Kitano), a loudmouthed, opportunistic man who treats the trip as an excuse to gamble. Kitano wrote and directed it, and the stakes are one small boy's hope, left in the hands of someone nobody would trust with it.
