“Here comes the bride.”

A woman in a wedding dress is shot in the head at her own rehearsal, and somehow she wakes up years later with a list of names. The Bride (Uma Thurman) once belonged to a circle of assassins, and now she goes after them one at a time, starting with Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) and Tokyo's O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu). Quentin Tarantino keeps Bill (David Carradine) offscreen, a voice she has to reach.
