Kill the Messenger

“Can you keep a national secret?”

A drug dealer's court file leads Gary Webb (Jeremy Renner), a reporter at a California newspaper, to a trail of cocaine shipments that seems to end at the CIA and the Contra rebels in Nicaragua. Michael Cuesta follows him as he chases the story with his editor Fred Weil (Michael Sheen) and keeps it from his wife Sue. He is sure the work is worth whatever it takes from his family and his name.
