“Beauty conquered the beast!”

A creature that the islanders call neither beast nor man draws filmmaker Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) onto a ship bound for an uncharted island. He brings his leading lady Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) and first mate Jack Driscoll (Bruce Cabot), who has his own reasons to keep close to her. Directors Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack set the creature loose, and it fixes its attention on Ann.
