King Kong Escapes

Commander Carl Nelson (Rhodes Reason) leads a submarine crew that finds itself caught between the real King Kong and a steel double built by Dr. Who (Hideyo Amamoto). Dr. Who needs Element X dug out of a mine, and the robot cannot do the digging. Ishirō Honda puts a captured animal and a machine in the same frame, and the story is about who gets to use a creature's strength.
