“America's biggest hero is back... and he is not happy.”

Ten years after the fall from the Twin Towers, Kong is still alive, held in a coma while his heart weakens. Surgeon Amy Franklin (Linda Hamilton) leads the effort to give him an artificial one, and Hank Mitchell (Brian Kerwin) captures a giant female ape to supply the blood. John Guillermin sets the military under Lt. Col. Nevitt (John Ashton) against the two apes once Kong wakes and senses her nearby, with his new heart and his life riding on reaching her.
