Goneril (Elza Radziņa) and Regan (Galina Volchek) answer with praise, while Cordelia (Valentina Shendrikova) will not flatter him, and he banishes her. Grigori Kozintsev follows Lear from that moment, a king who has given away his power and is left with a Fool (Oleg Dal) for company.
