King of the Belgians

Nicolas III (Peter van den Begin) is the King of the Belgians, a man who spends a state visit to Istanbul being photographed and steered from room to room. When his country falls apart at home, he has to get back, but a solar storm shuts down the airspace and every phone. Brosens and Woodworth send him overland through the Balkans, in disguise, with a British filmmaker and a troupe of Bulgarian folk singers, and the king starts seeing a world nobody has shown him.
