King of Thorn

A virus nicknamed Medusa is turning people to stone across Japan, and with no cure in sight, the government freezes a chosen few to wait it out. Kasumi (Kana Hanazawa) is one of them, and she wakes years later among monstrous creatures and a world already gone to chaos. Kazuyoshi Katayama keeps the camera close on the survivors in the sealed, tangled corridors, so that every turn feels crowded.
