Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

“Sex. Murder. Mystery. Welcome to the party.”

Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.) is a small-time thief who stumbles into an audition while running from the police and lands a bit part in a Hollywood crime film. His real education comes from Gay Perry (Val Kilmer), a private detective hired to teach him the trade. Shane Black builds the mystery with digression and half-drunk revelation, letting the camera spin through Los Angeles at night as if the story itself is slightly out of focus.
