Shira Shalev (Moran Rosenblatt) is an Israeli woman who falls for Maria Müller (Luise Wolfram), a German, and decides to marry her. Her grandmother Berta (Rivka Michaeli) is the first to hear about it, and Maria's family in Germany has plenty to say too. Shirel Peleg built the film from her own love story, and what it keeps asking is who gets to belong with whom.
