In 1978, a California amusement park is about to host a KISS concert, with the band's Cat Man (Peter Criss), Space Ace (Ace Frehley), The Demon (Gene Simmons) and Star Child (Paul Stanley) in full makeup. Anthony Zerbe plays Abner Devereaux, a mad scientist who has built a lab on the grounds to turn people into robots. Gordon Hessler directed this Hanna-Barbera television movie, which treats the band as real superheroes and a rock show as the thing worth saving.
