Kiss of the Spider Woman

“Once upon a time... in a tropical island far away, there lived a strange woman…”

Every night in a Latin American prison cell, Luis Molina (William Hurt) starts talking, and what comes out is the plot of an old movie, told scene by scene. His cellmate Valentin Arregui (Raúl Juliá), a journalist held for his politics, wants nothing to do with it. Héctor Babenco puts two men who share nothing but a locked door in one small room, and the stories become the only place either of them can go.
