“Love can leave you cold.”

In a Canadian funeral home, Sandra Larson (Molly Parker) has been fixated on death since she was a child, and she grows up to work as a mortician, preparing and embalming the dead. Lynne Stopkewich lets her fixation reach past the work itself into necrophilia, which she keeps to herself. Matt (Peter Outerbridge), a medical student, falls for her, but Sandra's desires leave him nowhere to stand.
