Kitchen Stories

Folke Nilsson (Tomas Norström) climbs onto a tall umpire's chair in a Norwegian farmer's kitchen, a Swedish researcher with a notebook and a strict order never to speak to the man he is watching. The man is Isak Bjørvik (Joachim Calmeyer), who answers by quitting his kitchen and spying on Folke through a hole in the ceiling. Bent Hamer stages a gentle comedy about two lonely men and the silence that keeps them apart.
