Jody Dvorak (Ann-Margret) is a teenage runaway on the lam from the cops, and she wants one thing: a place to hide until the heat dies down. She finds it in the suburban house of David Stratton (John Forsythe), a senatorial hopeful who comes home from a trip to find her asleep in his daughter's bed. Douglas Heyes puts a respectable career in the hands of a girl and her beatnik friends, and David has everything to lose if word gets out.
