Knocked Up

Ben Stone (Seth Rogen), a perpetually stoned slacker, sleeps with Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl), a sharp-minded TV host on the rise, after a night of drinking. When she discovers she's pregnant, they find themselves trapped between their separate lives and the impossible arithmetic of whether to stay together. Apatow shoots the mess of it without flinching, letting the comedy and dread live in the same room.
