“What happens when the numbers run out?”

When his son's school digs up a time capsule, John Koestler (Nicolas Cage) takes home a sheet of numbers written by a girl fifty years ago. The numbers turn out to be dates, death tolls and coordinates, some for disasters that have already happened and some for the ones still to come. Alex Proyas stages the catastrophes as sudden, close-up events and keeps the camera tight on a father trying to read a page that may include his own family.
