Kóblic

“There is nowhere to hide from yourself”

Tomás Kóblic (Ricardo Darín), a former Navy pilot, takes a job as a crop fumigator in the small Argentine town of Colonia Helena, trying to stay out of sight with his past. The local police commissioner, Velarde (Oscar Martínez), has his own plans for the quiet newcomer, and the town's corruption starts closing around him. Sebastián Borensztein lets the dread build slowly, in long silences and flat country light.
