Kolamavu Kokila

In a modest Chennai household, Kokila (Nayanthara) lives with her parents and her younger sister, and the family runs on one worry: her mother (Saranya Ponvannan) has cancer and the treatment costs more than they have. Nelson, making his debut, builds the comedy out of an ordinary daughter who takes up drug peddling to pay for it. Kokila carries each delivery home the way she carries everything else, quietly, with her mother's illness never far from her mind.
