Komodo

“Welcome to the bottom of the food chain.”

Patrick Connally (Kevin Zegers) lost his parents and his dog on a North Carolina island, but he never saw what killed them, and the not-knowing has left him traumatized. His therapist, Victoria (Jill Hennessy), takes him back to face the place, where Komodo dragon eggs dumped in the 1970s have grown into a colony of adult lizards. Michael Lantieri, a veteran of effects work, builds the film around the creatures themselves and keeps the dread low and steady.
