Korczak

Janusz Korczak (Wojciech Pszoniak), a Polish-Jewish pediatrician, keeps running his Warsaw orphanage as the war closes in around it. With Stefa (Ewa Dałkowska) beside him, he works to feed and shelter the Jewish children in his care. Andrzej Wajda shoots it in black and white, and every month the war draws a little nearer, the lives of those children depend more on what one man will refuse to give up.
