Krabat

“Everything in this world has its price.”

Krabat (David Kross), a fourteen-year-old orphan, wants only to get out of the Thirty Years War alive, so he takes a place as apprentice at a mill run by an ominous Master (Christian Redl). Marco Kreuzpaintner shows him learning to mill grain beside Tonda (Daniel Brühl) and Lyschko (Robert Stadlober), then being taught the dark arts. The Master's hold on the mill is complete, and when Tonda's life is threatened, Krabat has to fight for his own freedom.
