Krippendorf's Tribe

“He's discovered the wildest tribe in his own backyard!”

Professor Krippendorf (Richard Dreyfuss) has spent his grant money, lost his wife, and has nothing to show the university but a promise of a lost tribe in New Guinea. So he goes home and puts grass skirts and face paint on his three kids, who become the Shelmikedmu in the backyard. Todd Holland keeps the family loud and tangled around the lie, while Krippendorf, a widower who barely knows his children, finds himself closer to them than he has been in years.
