“When you have attitude, who needs experience?”

George Kuffs (Christian Slater) has no diploma, no job, and a pregnant girlfriend, Maya (Milla Jovovich), when his brother Brad (Bruce Boxleitner) is killed and leaves him a patrol special district in San Francisco. Bruce A. Evans sets him loose on the beat as a hired private cop answering to nobody at the SFPD. Underneath the jokes is a plain idea about a guy with nothing who is handed a badge.
