“So many gangsters… so little time.”

In 1940s Shanghai, the Axe Gang runs the streets, and Sing (Stephen Chow) is a small-time crook who wants in. Instead he stumbles into a poor neighbourhood where the shrieking Landlady (Yuen Qiu) and Landlord (Yuen Wah) turn out to be hiding more than they let on. Chow directs it like a live-action cartoon, with Yuen Woo-ping's choreography sending bodies flying at full speed.
