La Cage aux Folles

Renato Baldi (Ugo Tognazzi) runs a drag nightclub in St. Tropez and shares the flat above it with Zaza (Michel Serrault), the club's star, who has been his partner for twenty years. When Renato's son Laurent (Rémi Laurent) announces his engagement, the two men have to hide the club and themselves from the fiancée's conservative parents before dinner. Édouard Molinaro plays the household as a farce, though Zaza's hurt is what stays in the room.
