La Chimera

Arthur (Josh O'Connor) is a British archaeologist turned grave robber in 1980s Italy, with a gift for sensing where Etruscan tombs lie buried. He is still grieving Beniamina, the woman he lost, and he drifts through a small town on the Tyrrhenian Sea with a crew of thieves who sell what he finds. Alice Rohrwacher films the town, the forests and the underground chambers with the same slightly crooked warmth.
