La Roue

A train wreck leaves a baby girl with no parents, and the railwayman who pulls her from it is Sisif (Séverin-Mars), who takes her home and names her Norma (Ivy Close). Abel Gance, in 1923, builds the story out of fast cuts and hard lighting. Sisif raises her beside his own son, Elie (Gabriel de Gravone), and as she grows up he keeps turning over whether she should ever be told.
