La Sapienza

Alexandre Schmidt (Fabrizio Rongione) is an architect who has stopped feeling anything for his work, and he leaves home with his wife Aliénor (Christelle Prot) to find what first drew him to the profession. That search leads him to the baroque of Guarini in Turin and Borromini in Rome. Eugène Green frames the churches in still, straight-on shots, and Alexandre stands small beneath the Borromini and Guarini domes.
