Laal Singh Chaddha

“Who knows, are we part of a story, or does a story lie within each of us?”

The story runs through decades of Indian history, from the Emergency to the Cricket World Cup win to the Punjab riots, all seen through Laal Singh Chaddha (Aamir Khan), a Sikh man with a low IQ and a stubborn optimism. Advait Chandan adapts Forrest Gump, with Laal's mother (Mona Singh) raising him. He gets nearly everything he reaches for, but Rupa D'Souza (Kareena Kapoor Khan), the girl he has loved since childhood, keeps slipping away from him.
