Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains

“Do you wanna be a professional?”

Corinne Burns (Diane Lane) is a teenager who has lost her mother and decides to throw everything into a band of her own, The Fabulous Stains. She starts it with her sister and her cousin, three girls who can barely play, and Lou Adler directs them toward a tour that includes real punk musicians from the Sex Pistols, the Clash and the Tubes. Under the noise and the safety pins, it's a story about a girl with nothing left to lose deciding she'll be heard.
