Lady in a Cage

“What happens in this elevator is not for the weak - it is, perhaps, not even for the strong!”

Mrs. Cornelia Hilyard (Olivia de Havilland) is a wealthy woman recovering from an injury, alone in her house when the power fails and leaves her stuck in the home elevator. Her cries for help bring a group of hoodlums, including Randall Simpson O'Connell (James Caan), who are in no hurry to let her out. Walter Grauman keeps her behind the gate, the bars dividing her from every room she cannot reach.
