Lady J
In France before 1789, the widow Madame de La Pommeraye (Cécile de France) takes the notorious bachelor Marquis des Arcis (Édouard Baer) as her lover. Emmanuel Mouret adapts a story from Diderot's Jacques the Fatalist, and it turns on Mademoiselle de Joncquières (Alice Isaaz), who becomes instrumental to one lover's plans for revenge. Madame sits in her salon in her fine dress, her friend Lucienne (Laure Calamy) beside her, the wealth of the house all around.
