Lady of Burlesque

“Mirth! Murder! Melody! Mystery! and Girls! Girls! Girls!”

Dixie Daisy (Barbara Stanwyck) is the biggest draw at a burlesque house, a performer who knows every dancer, comic and stagehand backstage. When one of the group is murdered, she and the rest of the company set out to find the killer before anyone else is hurt. William A. Wellman keeps the story among the dressing rooms and the stage, and Dixie's sparring with the comic Biff Brannigan (Michael O'Shea) runs through the investigation.
