Lady on the Bus

“She gives herself away to any man to keep loving her husband.”

In 1978 Rio de Janeiro, the buses run packed and slow, and Solange (Sonia Braga) rides them with a purpose of her own. Her wedding night went badly, the fights with her husband Carlinhos (Nuno Leal Maia) have not stopped, and she has started going home with strangers she meets in the crush. Neville D'Almeida follows the marriage as it frays, a husband and wife who share an apartment and no longer speak the same language.
