Lady with the Dog

Dmitri Gurov (Aleksey Batalov), a Moscow banker unhappy in an arranged marriage, spends his holiday in Yalta looking for a little company, and he finds it in a young woman who walks her dog along the seafront. She is Anna Sergeyevna (Iya Savvina), stuck in a loveless marriage of her own, and with neither spouse nearby the two begin an affair. Iosif Kheifits adapts Chekhov's story, and Gurov, who thought this was a summer habit, cannot put her out of his mind.
