Jade (Katherine Barrell) is one of a group of young explorers, with Sam (Tim Rozon) among them, who find an area that appears on no map and no GPS. Darrell Roodt sends them toward the center of the lake, where an abandoned facility holds one of the largest apex predators known to man. This is the origin story of the crocodiles in Lake Placid, told as a direct sequel to the 1999 film.
