L'allenatore nel pallone

Why would a small town in Northern Italy hand its newly promoted First Division team to Oronzo Canà (Lino Banfi), a coach nobody had been waiting for? Sergio Martino sends him to Longobarda with one job, to avoid relegation, while the owner, Presidente Borlotti (Camillo Milli), finds the team far too expensive to keep and works against him. The Brazilian striker is sick with saudade, and Canà has to make the rest of the squad believe in him.
