L'Amour fou

Claire (Bulle Ogier) is an actress who wants to keep her husband, Sébastien (Jean-Pierre Kalfon), and also the role of Hermione in his stage production of Racine's Andromaque. Rivette films the rehearsals, and a television crew filming the company, in long takes, while the marriage at home grows tense. What the film shows, plainly and at length, is how a couple's private fight and a play about jealous love begin to feed on each other.
