Lancelot of the Lake

The Grail was never found, and the knights who ride back into Camelot are a handful of what they were. Lancelot (Luc Simon) comes home torn between loyalty to King Arthur and his affair with the queen, Guinevere (Laura Duke Condominas), while Mordred (Patrick Bernhard) watches and waits to use it against him. Robert Bresson films the court as it comes apart, and Lancelot has to choose which of his two loves he can afford to lose.
